Interdisciplinary and comparative research methods have become essential tools for advancing legal scholarship in an ever increasing globalised and more complex world. It is in this regard that this paper explores the integration of methodologies from various disciplines into legal research and demonstrates how these approaches can enhance the understanding of legal systems, doctrines, and policies. This paper argues that, combining interdisciplinary insights with comparative analysis, legal researchers can address complex legal issues and propose innovative solutions that impact the society.
This paper also highlights key issues encountered by the adoption of these approaches as well as the opportunities and challenges and conclude that both interdisciplinary and comparative legal research methods foster a more holistic, empirically grounded approach to legal research.
