Author(s): Shakir Rajab Bhat and Divaksh Dawar
Abstract: However, the adoption of Legal Tech also introduces ethical and practical challenges. Concerns about data privacy, security, and the risk of exacerbating the digital divide highlight the need for balanced implementation. Unequal access to technology and digital literacy gaps may perpetuate existing inequalities in the legal system. Moreover, the rise of automation and AI raises questions about preserving the personalized nature of legal representation and maintaining attorney-client trust. This paper examines the dual impact of Legal Tech-its promise in bridging the justice gap and the ethical dilemmas it poses. It argues for equitable access, robust legal frameworks, and adherence to ethical standards to ensure technology fulfils its potential to enhance justice while upholding the integrity of legal practice.
