Abstract: This study explores the role of private law in protecting privacy and personal data within the digital age. Rapid advances in social media and technology have reshaped the boundaries of physical privacy, exposing personal data to potential misuse. This research highlights the significance of legal frameworks in protecting personal data, examining laws from Iraq, Egypt, and other regions, and emphasizing the need for comprehensive legislation to safeguard personal data privacy. Through a descriptive-analytical and comparative approach, the study analyzes legal obligations and protective measures imposed on data processors, addressing privacy risks, data misuse, and legislative gaps in protecting sensitive information.
